Scott Engler’s Heartwood Builders team recently finished a non-profit project for the Pomegranate Center. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this organization, their mission is to build community in a variety of ways.

In an excerpt taken from their website:

At Pomegranate Center, we integrate many disciplines. We combine design and art with community planning, public participation, environmental methods, hands-on learning and mentoring in an integrated process to help communities become more livable, sustainable, and socially engaged. We accomplish this work through the following programs.

For those of you who find yourself nearby the White Center neighborhood, please check out Heartwood’s impressive steel, wood, and plexiglass bridge overlooking the West Creek Park Wetland.
